October Is Manufacturing Month

OCEDC is celebrating Manufacturing the entire month of October! National Manufacturing Day will be celebrated on October 6th this year. It has been held annually on the first Friday in October since 2011 and helps show the reality of modern manufacturing careers by encouraging thousands of companies and educational institutions around the nation to open their doors to students, parents, teachers and community leaders.

Manufacturing Day is manufacturing’s biggest annual opportunity to inspire the next generation, positively shift perceptions about the industry, and build the foundation for the manufacturing workforce of the future. It empowers manufacturers to come together to address their collective challenges so they can help their communities and future generations thrive.
